I. Beautiful Memories

J. Wolfskill: "Feral Heart began taking shape in 2023, but the dream behind it started long before. I had always envisioned playing in a full band, longing for the kind of camaraderie you only see in the movies.
I reached out to my friends, inviting them to be part of my first album, knowing there would be no pay until the album was released and we started booking gigs. What we relied on instead was something far greater—the power of friendship.
When it came time to bring Feral Heart to life, I turned to Kickstarter, asking for support from fans, friends, and family. And as the universe often does, it worked in mysterious and beautiful ways.
One day, in the coffee shop below my apartment, I met a barista who played violin and cello. I asked if she wanted to join the band. She had never been part of a folk-indie (whatever we are) group before but, as a trained classical musician, was willing to explore new sonic territory outside the symphony halls.
As time passed, Wolfskill & The Wild grew, demanding more from each member. Life pulled us in different directions—other commitments, projects, and family responsibilities made it difficult for my friends to continue. And so, we parted ways.
I looked at this incredible musician, my newfound bandmate, and told her, "I know this isn't what you signed up for. If you want to walk away too, I'll understand."
Without hesitation, she said, "I want to stay, and I want you to keep going as well."
And so, our duo was formed—an unshakable bond, the start of a love story written by fate, timing, or perhaps something divine.
If there's one thing I’ve learned, it's that the small, intricate, sometimes chaotic moments of our lives guide us down paths unknown. Only in hindsight do we see the miracles unfolding, the beauty that blooms in their wake.
That is the essence of Feral Heart—a love that is wild, untamed, and true to its origin.

III. Oh Time
"Oh Time" by Wolfskill & The Wild is a ballad for the working man. Oh Time is an ode to sacrifice and bliss. The second debut is inspired by midwestern work ethics, the concept of time and the cost for the working class. Featuring traditional American folk style singing paired with string ensemble and embellished tones for a true, modern midwestern folk song.

"Dawning" by Wolfskill & The Wild is a captivating instrumental track that tells a compelling story through music alone. The song captures the essence of one who makes a bold decision to change their fate and pursue what they love, leaving behind their familiar life to embark on a new and uncertain journey. With its emotive melodies and dynamic arrangements, "Dawning" takes listeners on a musical voyage filled with passion, determination, and the courage to embrace change. The instrumental elements of the track beautifully convey the emotions of the protagonist as they steps out of their comfort zone and face the challenges of a new beginning.

"Pursuit" by Wolfskill & The Wild is a delicate dance of courtship. The Pursuit explores the ebb and flow of nature itself; it is a primal glimpse into love-at-first-sight. The wild chase that follows after attraction. The highs and lows and the thrilling intensity that comes with the essence of love’s pursuit.
VI. Lights Went Out
"Lights Went Out" by Wolfskill & The Wild was written during a thunderstorm when the power cut out, leaving nothing but candlelight, a guitar, and time to kill. Some songs just happen in the moment. With nowhere to go, we started writing, and the song became a promise—when the darkness comes, I’ll love you through it.
It’s about more than just a blackout; it’s about finding light in each other when everything else fades.
